Sang Khla Buri District

SANG KHLA BURI


          Sang Khla Buri is a district where contact with the Burmese border. The distance from the town, about 215 km away from Thong Pha Phum district 74 kilometers. This border town surrounded by natural greenery and mountains. There are Song Kalia river flows from its origins in Burma runs through Sangkhlaburi. Nourished people on both sides of the river and unite the people of both countries, Mon. from past to present.

Tourist attractions                                                                   

1. Mon Bridge
          Mon Bridge is the longest bridge in the country with a length of approximately 1 km. It is a tourist spot that has become a symbol of Sang Khla Buri. The tourists like to walking on the bridge to watch the golden light of sunrise in the morning. Include to look at Thai people lifestyle and Mon people who walking and crossing each other on the bridge. Here is rather bustle in the morning.

2. Muang Badan(The Underwater Temple)
          In the past, here is the original Wat Wang Wiwekaram which was submerged for ten years. During the dry season lasts from March to April, the water will reduce the church to emerge from the water. You can take a boat and walks up to the church. You can watch the two banks of the river cruise which will meet the Mon lifestyle and see the pinnacle of Bodhgaya stupa during the cruise. During high water, the water would flood nearly all. Leaving only the top of the church to appeared. It is an attractive place to become a tourist attraction,"Unseen Thailand."

3. Wat Somdet(Original)
          Located opposite Muang Badan.  Here is an old temple of Wat Somdet  which abandoned when they moved Sagklaburi city. This temple is situated on a small hill, not submerged. Inside the chapel has the principal condition which still relatively intact. Around the church has a large banyan covered magical and picturesque old.

4. Wat Wang Wiwekaram(Auttma priest)
          Located away no far from Bodhgaya stupa. This cathedral located on the riverside, established the magnificent marble statue. Here is the temple of Auttma priest who Thai people, including Mon, Karen and Burmese living in the area is respected.

Phu Thap Boek

PHU THAP BOEK


          Phu Thap Boek is the highest peak in Phetchabun province. Located at Ban Thap Boek, Wang Ban district where far from Lom Kao district about 40 kilometers according to directions from Lom Kao to Phu Hin Rong Kla or from Phetchabun province about 90 kilometers.
          Phu Thap Boek has a height of about 1768 meters above sea level and it is the highest point of Phetchabun. There is a beautiful landscape with natural mountain. It is the fresh air and mild climate all year round due to cold winds from the Himalayas and groove on high. We can have far-reaching views to be seen clouds and sea fog cut the Phetchabun mountain peaks in the morning 

          Today, Phu Thap Boek is home to the Hmong hill tribe village, Thailand and it is in care of the tribal housing development centre province of Petchabun. Include farming career ladder along the foothills. In the late winter rain, you will see the cabbages on both sides of the road to Thap Boek, it is so beautiful. 
          
          In about a month from December to January have more cherry blossoms or queen tigers which is pink bloom all around the mountains.

          Also in the night, you can see the lights shining from houses below Lom Sak district as like as,"Stars on Earth." Phu Thap Boek is the interesting tourist attraction and attract tourists who likes the atmosphere of the cold, tribal lifestyle and pure natural resources. Under the saying,"Sleep Thap Boek, Feel the cold, See the stars on the ground" with the facilitiy in Thap Boek village. There are the viewpoints, residentials, tents and restaurants to service the tourists.
